The nonprofit environmental health network, Coming Clean, is seeking to hire a Fall 2022 Communications and Member Engagement Intern to join our team.
Coming Clean is a national environmental health network of 150+ member organizations and experts, working in strategic partnership with the Environmental Justice Health Alliance. Our mission is to reform the chemical industry so it is no longer a source of harm, and secure systemic changes that leave no community behind and allow a safe chemical and clean energy economy to flourish. Coming Clean is dedicated to principled collaboration grounded in the leadership, vision, and voices of environmental justice grassroots groups and communities.
Coming Clean is committed to dismantling racism, sexism, ableism and other oppressions within our organization and society as a whole. We strongly encourage applicants from communities disproportionately affected by environmental and social injustices including black people, indigenous peoples, people of color, younger people, people from working class backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, women, and people of all abilities to apply. Equal employment opportunity is available to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, or genetic information.
Coming Clean’s Internship program seeks to create an opportunity for the next generation of organizers and nonprofit professionals to enter into environmental health and justice work, rooted in our theory of change: principled, equitable collaboration grounded in the grassroots and affected communities. Anyone who meets the qualifications is welcome to apply and need not necessarily be seeking college credit to be considered.
