Sobre La Campaña

La Campaña para Soluciones Saludables es liderada por La Alianza de Justicia Ambiental y Salud para la Reforma Política de Sustancias Químicas  Environmental Justice Health Alliance for Chemical Policy Reform (EJHA) y Coming Clean.

EJHA es una red de organizaciones de justicia ambiental en 13 estados que han formado un movimiento hacia sustancias químicas seguras y energía limpia, que no dejará atrás a ninguna comunidad o trabajador. Coming Clean es una colaboración nacional de 200 organizaciones de salud y 250 expertos en una diversidad de temas trabajando en conjunto para transformar las industrias de sustancias químicas y combustibles fósiles para que sean una fuente de salud, economía, sustentabilidad y justicia en lugar de contaminación, enfermedades y daños al planeta.

La Campaña para Soluciones Saludables busca trabajar con las tiendas de descuento (tiendas de dólar) para ayudarlos a proteger su clientela y las comunidades en donde operan, así como a ampliar sus negocios por medio de la implementación de políticas corporativas que identifiquen y eliminen de forma progresiva las sustancias químicas nocivas en los productos que venden.

El equipo de liderazgo de la campaña incluye representantes de  Coming Clean; EJHA; Lideres Campesinas en Oxnard, CA; Los Jardines Institute en Albuquerque, NM; y Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services (t.e.j.a.s.) en Houston, TX.

Más de 100 organizaciones diversas a lo largo de los Estados Unidos se han unido al llamado de la Campaña para convocar a  las tiendas de descuentos para que instituyan políticas corporativas sustantivas que identifiquen, revelen y divulguen las sustancias químicas en los productos que venden; dándole prioridad a la eliminación de las sustancias químicas mas nocivas y reemplazando las sustancias químicas toxicas con alternativas comprobadas como más seguras.
